History
Forty years ago, my father, Hans Rainer, began to breed warm-blooded horses. During this time, he got a filly from the Hanoverian stallion Almfürst. This mare lived to thirty years old, led us to many tournament successes and gave birth to fifteen foals. Today, her great-grandson still represents her line on our farm. "Ronaldo" was one of her successful offspring; national winner of the three-year old "Materialpferde" 2008 in Stadl Paura. Other highlights were the double victory at the Austrian Jumping Championships in 2003 and the 1st prize in 2004 of our mare "Calla" (Austrian Jumping Championships, six-year old horses in Cesari).
Breeding
We are farmers involved in agriculture and forestry in Maria Alm, in the Pinzgau region, approximately 60km away from Salzburg. We have been passionate horse breeders for three generations. Our farm is located at the foot of the 'Steinerne Meer', where our fields, meadows and mountain pastures offer 55 acres of land for our horses.
Through robust animal husbandry and regular exercise on our meadows and pastures we create the best conditions for our horses (i.e. constitution and shape) from the very beginning.
Education
The horses are mostly lunged, ridden and trained on our farm in accordance with their physical development. We strongly believe that the horses have to grow up and mature in peace and on their own pastures. As such, their shape, muscle and sinew structure, as well as traction, agility and sense of balance develop very well over here. Even the development of their 'Interieur' is positively influenced by their natural upbringing and robust breeding within the group.
When training the horses, we work with methods that are easily understood and accepted by them because of their group experiences.Trust, respect and attention are the three cornerstones on which our education system is based.
